San Diego Comic-Con International 2017
SDCC began in 1970 when a group of comics, movie, and science fiction fans banded together to put on the first comic book convention in southern California. Comic-Con started as a one-day “minicon,” with about 300 attendees and has grown to a behemoth that regularly hosts 130,000+ attendees. Over the years, Comic-Con has become the focal point for the world of comics conventions and an annual mecca for genre fans of all stripes.
